Oppression
Je ne peux rien dire, je ne peux rien faire. Si je pense à quoi que ce soit, c’est l’enfer. J’en ai assez d’être traitée comme une mégère apprivoisée. J’étouffe. Chaque geste me pèse. Je vis dans l’attente du seau d’eau. Je n’ai ni le droit d’enflammer mes désirs ni celui de les éteindre. Quel que soit mon choix, c’est perdu d’avance. Ils me nourrissent, ils me dorlotent, mais ils empêchent ma vraie nature de s’épanouir.
Enfermée dans cet espace restreint, je dois taire ma passion, oublier ma puissance et n’exister que pour eux, leur confort, leur joie et leur bonheur. Je m’emballe d’un souffle et partage ma chaleur sans retenue. Mais ils me craignent. Ils ne tolèrent pas mon enthousiasme, ils rejettent ma force, ils nient mon intelligence. Ils m’encarcanent, ils me harnachent, ils me confinent.
Je ne suis qu’une toute petite flamme. Donnez-moi la chance de vivre. Laissez-moi grandir et m’épanouir, vous verrez alors la splendeur de mille soleils naitre de ma passion. Je vous embrasserai et mon brasier couvrira le monde entier.
La deuxième microfiction de la série des ombres de l'esprit devait être l’effet papillon, mais, à partir de cette idée, j’ai commencé à développer un roman. En conséquence, la métaphore enflammée que vous venez de lire m’a conduite (et vous aussi) dans l’oppression de l’esprit humain. J’y effleure à peine le pouvoir dominateur qui étouffe la vie de millions de personnes.

Oppression
I can’t say anything, I can’t do anything. If I think about anything, it’s hell. I’m tired of being treated like a tame shrew. I suffocate. Every movement weighs on me. I live waiting for the water bucket. I have neither the right to ignite nor to extinguish my desires. Whatever my choice, it’s a foregoing. They feed me, they pamper me, but they prevent my true nature from blossoming.
Trapped in this small space, I must silence my passion, forget my power and exist only for them, their comfort, their joy and their happiness. I ignite with a breath and share my warmth without restraint. But they fear me. They can’t stand my enthusiasm, they reject my strength, they deny my intelligence. They lock me up, they harness me, they restrict me.
I am just a tiny flame. Give me the chance to live. Let me grow and blossom, then you will see the splendour of a thousand suns born of my passion. I will embrace you and my blaze will cover the whole world.
The second micro fiction of the shadows of the mind series was supposed to be the butterfly effect, but, from this idea, I started to develop a novel. Therefore, the fiery metaphor you have just read has led me (and you) into the oppression of the human spirit. I've barely touched the dominating power that suffocates the lives of millions of people.
