Je vivais avec Granma. Ils ont dit que le loup l’avait mangée, mais je sais que ce n’est pas le cas. Elle a attrapé une mauvaise grippe et n’est jamais revenue de l’hôpital. Ils voulaient m’enfermer dans un pensionnat loin de ma forêt bien-aimée. Avant qu’ils n’exécutent leur plan, j’ai empoigné mon manteau et mon chapeau rouge, j’ai balancé mes patins sur mon épaule et j’ai couru dans les bois pour rencontrer mon ami et sa meute. Depuis lors, nous hurlons notre liberté vers la lune chaque fois qu’elle brille dans le ciel étoilé.

I was living with Granma. They said the wolf ate her, but I know better. She caught an awful flu and never came back from the hospital. They wanted to lock me up in a boarding school far from my beloved forest. Before they executed their plan, I grabbed my red coat and hat, swung my skates over my shoulder and ran into the woods to meet with my friend and his pack. Since then, we howl our freedom to the moon every time she shines in the starry sky.
